Who is Ivan?
What is he doing in Valencia?

Ivan’s first published story appeared in 1979 in the Brook’s Road Public School Newsletter; a publication normally reserved for authors with more experience than his five years afforded. Unfortuantely, his piece was barbarically truncated, setting the stage for what would become a life-long struggle between raw, creative impulses and the more practical considerations of publication.
Lately, Ivan has been focused on the company that he founded with his wife, Katie Mead - Springboard Consulting. As a communications consultant and content developer, he often ruthlessly slashes text and barbarically truncates copy. This blog is a return to the primal side of the written word and a long awaited chance to show the staff of Brook’s Road Public School just what you can accomplish with a run-on sentence.
He is still trying to figure out what he is doing in Valencia. Maybe this blog will help?
→ Ivan is always interested in new projects and welcomes all inquiries regarding his services/collaboration.

Welcome to Valencia, Katie, Oscar and Ivan. Let me know of any great places you discover in the centre of town, or anywhere else for that matter. I look forward to sharing a bottle or two of Valencian wine soon.
Ivan,
Top chap. I’m glad to see I am not the only loony to leave UK shores and set-up shop in Spain. I will follow your blog with great interest.
I have attached a link to my threadbare (from a text perspective) blog about our recent move to Tarifa. It is mainly snaps with the odd taciturn comment for padding. Actually, now I am writing to you I am feeling quite impotent in my writing efforts so I will endeavour to add more interesting information and thoughts; good thinking, yes.

Hola Ivan, from another Canadian living in Spain. I first moved to Salamanca in 1992 but after a year or so needed to find somewhere bigger and more “alive”. My short list of choices was Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla, and in 1993 I moved to Sevilla. So it’s very interesting to read about your experiences in Valencia, where I might have lived.
